The North Star Big Blue Clay Extruder does not look like or work like any others. It is designed to be simple and safe. This model features a 6 x 6 x 12 inch aluminum barrel that holds a full 25 pound pug of clay. Other notable features include: Rack and compound pinion gear drive (See last item below) with detachable Wagon Wheel Handle. That means no dangerous levers or bars. Furthermore, the additional hazards and corollary equipment requirements of hydraulic and pneumatic drives are completed avoided. The barrel lifts off - no tools needed. Fill, clean and install dies at your workbench. Wall mounted. Flat one-piece stainless steel support for center part of hollow dies. Plunger goes to within 1/2 inch of the bottom of the barrel so all but a tiny bit of clay is extruded. Dies furnished with the Big Blue Extruder include: Hollow round, square and hex (all 5 inch OD with 1/4 inch walls), plus one blank die.
